PHOTOGRAPHER: José Figueroa
PERFORMANCE LENGTH: 40 min

TARGET GROUP: 1-2 years

REALITY IS ROUND allows us to meet in the grand and irrational, exploring the limits of the voice and the body. The performance takes its starting point in the unique ability of small children for devoted play and unrestricted interest in their surroundings. Through movement, light, sound, and form, the performance explores human connection and encounters beyond language.

REALITY IS ROUND is a participatory performance for children aged 1-2 and their adults. Two dancers and a musician invite you into an imaginative space that sparks curiosity and creates space for encounters.

I'M THINKING OF YOU lets you discover or rediscover the library as a place. As a  participant, you are invited to follow instructions through headphones, and interact with the library environment in both expected and unexpected ways.

With a touch of magical realism, you will experience sneak choreography, censorship and get a glimpse of thousands of years of books’ history. You will be given the opportunity to perform secret acts of resistance and discover secret messages right in the middle of a public space.

I’M THINKING OF YOU is played as a school performance for 10-15 year olds, but is also suitable for adults.

Medelgympa

PHOTOGRAPHER: Chrisander Brun
PERFORMANCE LENGTH: approx. 60 min

TARGET GROUP: from 13 years

LANGUAGE: Swedish, English

"Gympa" [ˈjʏ̀mːpa] is a Swedish form of group aerobic training.

MEDELGYMPA is your all-around fitness and art experience. We exercise to very traditional gympa music, and it can get sweaty if you want it to. Bring your metaphorical machete out. Touch down to the sound of creaking wood. Allow your body to turn into a marshmallow in a cup of hot cocoa. MEDELGYMPA is the kind of gympa that encourages laziness. It's gympa deluxe.

MEDELGYMPA is both a performing arts event and a session of gympa. The audience is led by a performer and through instructions in headphones.

THE CHOREOGRAPHY explores the world through movement and examines how the way we move can affect what we think, see and feel. In a small group, the audience follow instructions through headphones in which a voice tells them how to move, how to relate to their own body and to one another.

In THE CHOREOGRAPHY there are no dancers on stage, instead it is the audience that creates THE CHOREOGRAPHY together.

Available in 18 languages. Regardless of language, everyone can participate together and listen to the same instructions.

POST WEDDING DEPRESSION is suitable for rooms other than the stage. It does well in public contexts, on festive occasions, in schoolyards, conferences, festivals, inaugurations, department stores, museums, etc.

Dottertumören
Dottertumören

In DOTTERTUMÖREN, dancer Linnéa Sundling and sound artist Cicely Irvine try different ways of dealing with grief, loss and the  sometimes contradictory feelings that can arise when you lose someone close to you. Based on lyrics from Ester Eriksson's comic book Dottertumören and her own experiences of grief, Linnéa and Cicely create performing arts that are on the borderland between dance, music, image and poetry.

DOTTERTUMÖREN opens up for thoughts about the theme and in connection with the performance a conversation is held with the audience.

How do I escape when someone notices that I'm not telling the truth? And what should I do with this elephant standing in the middle of the room? LIE! is a warm and eventful performance where we convince, exaggerate, hide and mislead. In the performance, the audience is invited to a trip to Disneyland, they get to see an elephant grow big and get warm by a campfire.

ARTISTICALLY explores the ballet's movement patterns and vocabulary with various contemporary choreographic methods. A carefree performance that takes ballet to its extremes. As usual, Johanssons pelargoner och dans do not do what you expect, but something else!  The performance is aimed at high school and adult audiences.

Alla dansar i otakt utom jag
Alla dansar i otakt utom jag
Alla dansar i otakt utom jag

When the game during the sports lesson becomes bloody serious, the laughter is silenced and the struggle for survival begins. The rules are constantly changing, sometimes you are in, the second after you're kicked out. In sharp throws and high tempo, roles and positions of power within the group change. In the uninterrupted chase, the frustration and the question of what is really required grows.
