REALITY IS ROUND

Sara Meidel, Västerbottens-Kuriren 2024
REALITY IS ROUND takes its starting point in the unique ability of small children for devoted play and unrestricted interest in their surroundings. Through movement, sound, and meter-long pillow worms, the performance explores human connection and encounters beyond language. We bounce and rest in an echo, make sounds, and roll over a dark sea. The performance assumes that language can never capture reality as it is, as concepts are angular while REALITY IS ROUND.
REALITY IS ROUND is a participatory dance performance for children aged 6 months to 2 years and their adults. Two dancers and a musician invite you into an imaginative space that sparks curiosity and creates space for encounters among everyone participating in the work. The audience enters the space, and the performers follow, support, and develop. Each performance is unique, shaped by what unfolds in the room.
